The Port of Melbourne recognises that Port Phillip Bay is not only Victoria’s gateway to more than 300 international markets but also one of the state’s key natural and recreational assets. This section is designed to provide bay users including divers, fishers and recreational boating enthusiasts with information about the scheduled activities during trial dredging. During the nine-week trial dredging, safety zones will be established around the dredging vessel, Queen of the Netherlands, as she operates in different parts of the bay. Although trial dredging is being undertaken outside the peak tourist season, please see the applicable Notices to Mariners and public notices or the trial dredging schedule or bulletin to identify where the dredge will be operating to assist in planning your bay activities. |
