Temporary Access Closures - Francis St River Bank

Bank protection works will be undertaken between Yarraville and Holden Docks in the Port of Melbourne, as part of the Channel Deepening Project.

The works will involve slope trimming, bank re-stabilisation and beaching upgrades in the area . Given the nature of the activity and in the interests of public safety, the construction area surrounding these works will be fenced off.

This will result in access closures to the car park and fishing point at the eastern end of Francis Street for the duration of the works.

It is expected that these works will be completed by December 2008.
